The blood mobile will be parked directly across the street from Station 74.

This morning, we had the honor of displaying the American flag at the Tunnel to Towers Foundation 5K in remembrance of 9/11 alongside South Trail Fire Protection & Rescue Service District 🇺🇸

Truck 79, C-Shift, led by Lt. Tansey, attended to show support and patriotism for the runners and walkers and remember the somber day in history.

More about Tunnel to Towers Foundation:
Born from the tragedy of 9/11, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries forward a legacy of courage and heroism. Built upon the mantra, “While we have time, LET US DO GOOD,” the Foundation supports our nation’s fallen and catastrophically injured first responders, military heroes, and their families.

Lt. Jason Lambert will soon Brave the Shave!

He is stepping up as our community hero in the battle against childhood cancer by participating in the Clips for Cancer event for Barbara’s Friends, an organization with Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida.

In a few weeks, he will have his head shaved by a pediatric cancer patient or survivor.

This year, the hospital is adding a fun twist with a “Cops vs. Firefighters” competition to boost fundraising efforts. Our goal is for Lt. Lambert & FF Dillaha to both raise $5,000, with all funds going directly to support local children with cancer. Right now, we are in third place.

Here’s some information:
Golisano Children’s Hospital handles 526 clinic visits a month for oncology.
Currently, 90 children are undergoing active cancer treatment.
Thanks to community’s generosity, 16 children celebrated the end of their cancer treatment last year, contributing to an 84% survival rate, which is above the national average!

This morning, a few of our CPR instructors headed to the U.S. Coast Guard Station Fort Myers Beach to deliver a CPR and First Aid class!

This is the second time we've had the opportunity to host this essential training for the men and women of the Coast Guard.

Thanks for having us!

Just a quick note: While our CPR classes are only held at our location (class is not mobile), we make a special exception for the Coast Guard. Since they can’t leave the base while on duty, we have agreed to bring the training to them.

- Ensure anything containing a battery isnt damaged or in direct sunlight.
