A huge thank you to Walmart Superstore #4063 off San Carlos Blvd. for recognizing us at your re-grand opening this morning! We were honored to receive a $1,000 donation for Camp Brave Heart, our youth girls' empowerment camp. This generous support will help us continue to serve young girls in our community.

Walmart has been a supporter of our mission for several years. They’re more than just a store; they’re a pillar of community support! We were thrilled to be part of their event, celebrating with their incredible employees and staff.

Camp Brave Heart empowers young girls with insights into the fire service, promotes discussions about women in firefighting, and builds confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Our goal is to inspire them to achieve greatness and make a difference in their communities and beyond.

What makes Camp Brave Heart truly special is that it’s free for our youth, ensuring every girl, regardless of socio-economic background, can access this life-changing experience.

Stay tuned for more details about Camp Brave Heart 2025, happening on Friday, March 14, for girls in grades 7-10. Registration opens on Monday, January 6, 2025, with expanded spots for 40 campers!

Thank you, Walmart, for your generosity and commitment to our community!

We ❤️ our local fire department! Iona McGregor Fire District, thank you for all you do for our community!

👙 Choose the Right Bathing Suit Color! 👙 In the clear waters of a pool, or our beautiful Bonita Beach, bathing suit colors will look different than in darker waters. Choose your colors with safety in mind.

When heading to the pool, lake, or beach, make sure to wear a bathing suit with bright and contrasting colors. These colors stand out against the water and make it easier for lifeguards and others to spot swimmers quickly.

C-Shift Battalion Chief Fischer and Lt. A. Gonzalez have just wrapped up The Fire Department Training Network's 40-hour Fireground Survival & Rapid Intervention Teams, Train-the-Trainer course. This intensive program is the ultimate in developing, training, and deploying rapid intervention teams, made up of three rigorous modules: Firefighter Survival, Firefighter Rescue, and Rapid Intervention Team Operations.
